Saipan International school went on a two day Historical outing with 8th grade on one day and 7th graders on the next. They had an awesome game plan. Their older students, had studied one each of the various historical sights around the island then as we stopped at each of the locations, that student would give the historical signifigance of that historical location to all the other students. first we went to the Airport and checked out the Japanese bunkers, and then They got to go to 500 sails location in Susupi, which is where the two tanks are out in the middle of the ocean and their they learned about the local culture and canoe building from the ancient chamorro's, from their we went to Red beach at quarter master and they learned the significance of that location and then they got a special stop at the Saipan Musuem were they learned about the culture and time lines of all those that made history and came before them. Shout!!!! outs!! to the musem staff for all their time and energy in making our musuem great again, than you!!! from their we went to American Memorial park and then on to the north and the last command post and suicide cliff. Was quite the day!!!! All the smiles and laughter made it so worth it!!!
